The active engine
The Harbinger Engine
The central nervous system. It turns advance signs into advance notice before they become visible to the crowd.
What it does
The central nervous system.
The Harbinger Engine fuses the corpus and the gate into one instrument. It scans the global data horizon (filings, rulings, trade data, hazard feeds, prices, permits, and the press of every jurisdiction) for advance signs, micro-anomalies, and early tremors. It translates them into advance notice before they become visible to the crowd.
- It holds the bill of materials for the world’s critical systems: who supplies what, from where, with how much inventory downstream, and how long a substitute takes to qualify.
- It listens on every source’s own clock: hazards in real time, rules at publication, filings as they are accepted, trade data on its release days.
- It flags harbingers: events that touch the graph and imply a dated change somewhere else, before the market has connected the two.
- It follows the shock along supply edges and against historical analogs, to the substitutes that win and the dependents that lose.
- It measures novelty, meaning how few people have written the connection down. An unconnected harbinger with a supported path is the edge.
- It watches for convergence. When independent harbingers point at one mechanism, the regime has shifted.

An illustration
The engine is built for chains like that one, where the signal leads the outcome by weeks or months.
What it sees, the Preemption Stack acts on first.
